| A buddy and I were cruising through the parking lot at the mall doing 5mph. No window tint and had a front license plate; so absolutely no reason to pull me over. Cop gets behind me and hits the lights so I pull over. Young punk fresh out of the academy walks up and says "What do you have under the hood?". I said "an engine" with a straight face while being very annoyed. So he said "you don't have a intake or anything" I said yes I do but it's legal and I have the C.A.R.B. order. So he tells me to pop the hood so I do and get out while he's there with his flashlight looking like a dumba$$ (can't find the intake). Since I'm being harassed I decide to harass him and ask why he pulled me over. He said I have a "modified" exhaust. Since I know my laws I told him having a different exhaust from the factory does not give him a reason to pull me over. I continue to tell him that the only reason that would be valid is if it was over 96 decibels at 2k rpm which it isn't. I had a labree exhaust at the time on a automatic TT which is 91 decibels. So I asked him if he would like to see the CHP bulletin which explains all of this and that I have it in the car. Right at that moment of him still looking stupid and another cop pulling up next to us. As soon as he looked up and saw them he said I could go. I guess he didn't want me to keep making him look stupid in front of his buddies. The real funny thing was he never asked for my license, registration, and insurance... Pisses me off to get harassed so I give it back to them when I can.
